In 2003 it was decided to revitalize our Rescue Unit with a new vehicle and inclusion of additional members from the different companies into the squad. Members took classes in extrication techniques, use of ropes and knots, etc., including training on many special pieces of equipment specific to vehicle extrication.
Today our squad can boast some of the finest equipment; such as the latest hydraulic powered Jaws of Life. The Rescue Squad rolls up on calls today in state of the art rescue vehicle that is equipped with all the teams needs to get the job done. The truck can run numerous hydraulic tools off of its pre-connected hydraulic reels at the same time; it can also run additional tools off of its portable hydraulic unit. Add many electric and gas powered tools and enough light to light up the night like day. The rescue vehicle also has a small fire pump, water tank and foam for fire suppression.

The members hold a meeting and drill the last Wednesday of every month, keeping themselves on the cutting edge of technology and up to date with new rescue techniques.
