This is a message from the Suffolk County Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency services on behalf of the Suffolk County Police Department. The following roads will be closed this Saturday, June 25 from 6AM until Noon. Rosevale Avenue from Pond Road to Southern Boulevard. Ocean Avenue from Expressway Drive North to Rosevale Avenue. Smithtown Boulevard/Portion Road from Rosevale Avenue to Ronkonkoma Avenue. Lakeshore Road/Pond Road from Portion Road to Church Street.

The Amagansett Fire Department held a drill on Thursday March 29, 2018. The department staged a motor vehicle accident on Napeague Meadow Rd for the volunteers. Fire police closed the road while the firefighters extricated victims for the EMS personnel to treat. Amagansett starts Junior Firefighter program

Ex-Chief Patrick Cantwell, February 28

The Amagansett Fire Department has started a Junior Firefighter program. Nearly a dozen kids between the ages of 10 and 17 have signed up to start learning about the fire department. Their first training was last night, February 27, at the fire house.
